What is Affiliate Marketing?

Now, I would introduce about some of the fundamentals of Affiliate Marketing.

In simple terms, Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business or merchant rewards one or more affiliates for each website visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. As an affiliate or web publisher, you would earn commissions for every sale you generate for the merchants that you are affiliated with.

There are literally thousands of affiliate programs from merchants for you to join on the Internet. In the matter of minutes, you can join an affiliate network and begin selecting products and adding links to your website. The advantages of affiliate marketing are countless and it is easy to start off as an affiliate marketer. Thereof, I would name a few of the advantages of affiliate marketing:

• An affiliate marketer does not have to be concerned about inventory, customer support, accounting, and e-commerce related problems as in affiliate marketing, these are the responsibility of merchants. All the affiliate needs to do is promote and earn cold hard cash.

• An affiliate marketer can still continue his present work or business and have the affiliate marketing to supplement his income. With a laptop and Wi-Fi connection, anyone can work as an affiliate marketer anytime and anywhere.

• An affiliate marketer enjoys the luxury of being his own boss and work on his own time. One can earn income round the clock with just a few hours of work per day.

However, there is always a learning curve to overcome before one can become a successful affiliate marketer. So, let’s get started to learn the ropes of Affiliate Marketing.
